I will come out clean, says Ankeet Chavan

Mumbai: Addressing a press conference, tainted cricketer Ankeet Chavan, who was released on bail, told reporters that he has faith in judiciary and will come out clean in the IPL spot fixing case.

He, however, refused to entertain further questions on the issue, saying the matter is subjudice.

Earlier, Sreesanth said that he hoped to don the Indian jersey in the 2015 World Cup that is scheduled to held in Australia and New Zealand. The pacer, who is out on bail said that he would give everything he had to make it to the Indian 2015 World Cup team.

“To play is my ultimate goal. I wanted to play in the South African series which looks doubtful now. But I would really want to play in the 2015 world cup,” said Sreesanth.

Sreesanth reiterated that he was innocent, but refrained from blaming anyone. He insisted on his eagerness to start playing at the earliest.

The speedster hardly appeared the intimidating kind he often was in the field. Instead he was thankful to everyone, including the BCCI and his teammates.

“I am thankful to Rajasthan Royals, the BCCI, and Kerala Cricket Association, my family, friends and even the media. I think everybody is doing their duty, so I have no complaints,” he said.
